Research, appointments and organisation
Work Partners employs a network of virtual assistants to provide administrative and organisational support, especially for its face-to-face sales and recruitment teams.
Your job as a virtual assistant is to research suitable locations for recruitment teams, obtaining permits where required.
If the location is a workplace, you need to arrange suitable times and schedules for teams to visit, taking into account travel time and other relevant factors.
You may also need to research the location. For example, if it is a school or other educational institution, you might need to find out how many teachers it has.
You may also be given other administrative or organisational tasks. |
Flexible hours
Virtual assistants work from home. Hours can usually be worked flexibly around personal commitments, and between 9 and 5.
Hours may vary from day to day. This job is ideal for parents caring for children, or other carers.
Paid by the hour

The skills you need to be a virtual assistant
To be a virtual assistant you will need to:
- have excellent verbal communication skills
- be highly organised
- be self-motivated
- demonstrate initiative and have the ability to take responsibility
- have good written communication skills
- meet deadlines
- be willing to work hard when needed
- be familiar with common internet tools such as Whereis, Google Maps, Skype, email, Word and basic Excel
- be flexible.

What you need to be a virtual assistant
You need to have your own computer and internet link and your own phone or skype internet connection.
You also need to have an Australian Business Number (registration for GST) and appropriate insurances.
